GOGOJILI GCash App Setup: Verify First, Check the Cashier Second

GOGOJILI GCash app questions start from a mismatch. People install GCash expecting a casino wallet. The GOGOJILI lobby names Maya.

GCash closed the gaming door too. On 16 August 2025, licensed gaming deposits and withdrawals were removed from the app. GCash’s Help Center ties that date to BSP Memorandum M-2025-029. Its Games section no longer exists.

So set GCash up for what it still does well. Then read the cashier with clear eyes.

Six GOGOJILI GCash App Checks

Run them in order. Each takes a minute.

1. Get the real app. Use Google Play or the App Store only, and read the publisher name and review count before you tap Install. GCash itself is run by G-Xchange, Inc. A wallet app from a link in a chat is a fake until proven otherwise.
2. Know your starting tier. Every new account opens as Basic. On Basic you can cash in, settle bills, buy load and pay by QR scan. It cannot send money, only receive it.
3. Verify properly. Profile > Verify Now > Get Started, then a 6-digit code, your birthday and citizenship, one ID scan and a selfie scan. Accepted IDs include the National ID, UMID, Passport, PRC ID, SSS ID, Driver’s License, Postal ID and HDMF (Pag-IBIG Loyalty Plus). Bring the physical card. A copy won’t pass for most IDs; with the National ID, GCash makes an exception.
4. Read your limits. The table below holds the figures GCash set from 1 October 2026. In the app: Profile > Profile Limits.
5. Know the fees. A transfer to a bank or another e-wallet over InstaPay costs PHP 10. Partner-counter cash-in: no fee on the first PHP 8,000 in a month, 2% after that; 7-Eleven charges 1%.
6. Keep gaming out of it. Gaming is not what GCash is for. Its line: “not a gaming app”. Anyone holding old gaming funds is told to sort them out with the gaming merchant directly.

Reach a cap and the affected services stop until the month rolls over on the 1st, unless you upgrade first.

Do / Don’t:

• Do keep your MPIN to yourself. Don’t send a “verification fee” to anyone; verification happens inside the app.
• Do screenshot reference numbers. Don’t delete SMS confirmations until a transfer settles.

What the GOGOJILI Cashier Names Instead

The lobby’s ticker reads “Use PayMaya for Deposits”. Its tutorial says to open the Deposit page, choose Maya, then tap “Pay By PayMaya”. That is the only rail the lobby itself names.

Maya has its own gaming change. Lucky Games went dark in the Maya app on 16 August 2025, following the BSP directive. Its support page points players to the gaming site’s own web pages or app, signed in with their registered mobile number, for any cash-in or withdrawal.

GOGOJILI’s own minimums, fees and payout times sit behind login. Read them on the Deposit screen before you confirm, and set a peso cap first.
