Casino bankroll management is deciding the money before the game decides it for you. Numbers first. Then play.

Seven rules. Each one fits on a sticky note.

Casino Bankroll Management: 7 Rules

  1. Only money you can lose. Bills, rent, savings come first. PAGCOR’s reminder: “Gambling is not a source of income.”
  2. A session budget. Split the month into sessions.
  3. Stakes of 1 to 2% of the session. Small enough to last.
  4. A loss limit, set first. A peso figure, written down.
  5. A time limit. PAGCOR advises setting one for each session.
  6. No chasing, no borrowing. Both are on PAGCOR’s list of reminders.
  7. Winnings leave the balance. Withdraw a share instead of replaying it.

GOGOJILI Bankroll Maths, One Example

LineAmount
Monthly bankroll (after bills and savings)₱4,000
Sessions planned4
Session budget₱1,000
Stake at 1%₱10 per spin, 100 spins
Stake at 2%₱20 per spin, 50 spins
Loss limit per session₱1,000 (the whole session budget, never more)

The figures are an example. Swap in your own; keep the structure.

Problem: the monthly number feels too small to be fun. Fix: play fewer sessions, not bigger stakes.

Why 1 to 2%? It buys 50 to 100 spins per session. That is enough to ride out ordinary quiet stretches on a LOW-MED slot without the stake itself ending the night early.

Loss Limit: the Rule That Does the Work

Fix the loss limit before the first bet, then leave it alone until you log out; a figure moved mid-session is no limit. Set it in three moves:

  1. Pick the figure from the session budget, never above it.
  2. Write it down where the screen cannot hide it.
  3. Tell yourself the exit: log out, close the tab, put the phone away.

Do / Don’t:

  • Do write the limit where you can see it. Don’t keep it “in your head”.
  • Do stop when the balance hits it. Don’t top up “just this once”.
  • Do set a win point too, for example stopping once the balance is up by half the session budget. Don’t let a good run reset the plan.
  • Do match the stake to the game’s volatility; how volatility uses up a peso budget shows the spin counts. Don’t raise the stake to speed up a slow session.

Problem: you hit the loss limit ten minutes in. Fix: that was the session. Log out; the next session gets its own budget on its own day.

Problem: you want to top up mid-session. Fix: if the money is not in the session budget, it is not bankroll. Close the cashier.

A Session Log in Five Columns

Memory keeps the wins and drops the losses. A log keeps both, and it takes under a minute after each session.

DateGameStart balanceEnd balanceMinutes played
(example)Super Ace₱1,000₱64035
(example)Boxing King₱1,000₱1,18025

After four sessions, add up the last two columns. If the totals surprise you, the log has done its job.

Moving Money Out

Winnings are safer in your bank than in a casino balance. Choosing a rail for a withdrawal? InstaPay or PESONet for a payout.

When Limits Stop Working

PAGCOR lists warning signs: betting more than meant, chasing losses, borrowing, debt, constant thoughts of gambling. If two or three sound familiar:

How to Get Started

  1. Write the month's number first

After bills and savings, what is left that you can lose? That is the bankroll. Write it down.

  2. Split it into sessions and stakes

Divide by the number of sessions you plan, then set each stake at 1 to 2% of a session.

  3. Set the loss limit and an alarm

Before the first spin, fix a peso loss limit and a stop time. When either hits, log out.

Quick Questions, Quick Answers

What is a loss limit?

The most you will lose in one session, set before you start. When the balance has dropped by that amount, you stop, whatever the game is doing.

How much should I bet per spin?

Keep each spin to roughly 1 to 2% of what the session is allowed to cost. On ₱1,000, that is ₱10 to ₱20 a spin, which buys enough spins to ride out quiet stretches.

Does the GOGOJILI bankroll have limit tools?

Check the account area after you sign in for any deposit or session limit settings. Whatever the lobby offers, your own written limit comes first, and PAGCOR's self-exclusion is available at osea.pagcor.ph.

My limits keep slipping. Where do I get help?

Ring (02) 8248 9568. Calls to it are free and confidential; it is the line PAGCOR lists as the National Problem Gambling Helpline. For a hard stop, PAGCOR self-exclusion has three lengths: 6 months, 1 year, 5 years.
